The Wailing willows

Call it a very accurate ventilation of emotions but I sketched this when I was on my third day of train-travelling back to Assam, I had precisely the same expression on my face!! Jokes apart, I have always been quite fascinated with the willow tree that pops up quite often in any nature poet's vocabulary. Wordsworth, Keats, Frost all pay homage to this legend that stoops at the sheer weight of its majestic branches. It also transpires to such a degree that poeple claim that the tree actually weeps!!! Whatever the case may be, it sure is an interesting tree.
