Pods of Imagination

Wednesday, May 9, 2007

I tried two different color palettes for this illustration, I wanted both of them to exude a strong mood. I guess the orange and green combination is more striking. Anyways, this is my take on imagination, of seeing ideas growing out of a pod of the tree of your beliefs and experiences. Most of my ideas automatically start generating when I enter a reclusive, isolated territory, that explains the choice of elements in this illustration. Every fragment of your imagination is so personal, so intuitive, you could never lose it. Its your private lounge, your personal sanctuary....your perfect, blissful world.

wow...nimi is so much expressed as well explained by this one...i would really appreciate the idea of a personal tree of ur beliefs & experiences..n then light of ideas growing along with ur imagination by sitting alone down there in ur personal zone...surely anybody can relate to this imagery with their experience of fantasy....also i liked sumthing very unique in this pic is that there is no ground n tree is on such a height with firm roots says a lot about reaching to the unreachable(stars) with ur power of imagination...

A very simple but strong metaphor...Really describes the concept very well..Like u mentioned, u have very successfully depicted that the tree islike a personal space...at the same time the growth of the tree and the way it flourishes very much depends on the environment around..
