My first applique

Sunday, May 6, 2007

This is my first attempt at traditional applique. I ransacked my closet in attempts of finding some unique scraps of cloth, but I wasn't so succesful. The next option paid off quite well as the visit to the neighbourhood tailor did fetch me some rather interesting specimens! I tried to be as minimalistic as I possibly could but oh! all that stitching has made me weary!! lol!

i can't believe that nimi has started stitching n all...what nimisha...this one is really really innovative from ur side..i am so happy that u tried out something completely different from papers n clay..i mean cloth..n that has come out fantasticaly...but something i feel ..i mean i dnt knoe its good or not but even here ur character style is quit similar to ones u make with pencils n colours..means u r consistent with ur characters.those big heads, round eyes with loads of hairs n tiny body...i can easily recognise ur charcters..i am happy with ur individuality..but simply adding on if u could create sumthing new in ur style so that i would b fascinated to see new versions of ur characters...i mean this is wat u could do..or must b doin but just clikin ur refresh button!!
